Mejoel Technology: How to adjust equipment parameters when UV varnish curing is incomplete?

In the actual production process, it is believed that many manufacturers may encounter problems such as incomplete curing of UV varnish when using it. How can we solve this problem by adjusting equipment parameters? Today, Mejoel Technology will analyze the specific solution to this problem for everyone.

1. Adjust the UV lamp power and replace the lamp tube
Increase UV lamp power: If the curing speed is required to be less than 0.5 seconds, the power of the high-pressure mercury lamp should generally not be less than 120W/cm. The power of the UV lamp can be increased through the control panel of the device to provide stronger ultraviolet radiation and promote the curing of the varnish.

Replace aging lamp tubes: Aging UV lamp tubes can cause a decrease in strength and affect the curing effect. Regularly check the usage time of the lamp tube, replace aging or damaged lamps in a timely manner, and ensure the intensity and quality of ultraviolet radiation.

2. Adjust the machine speed
Reduce the speed of the conveyor belt: If the machine speed is too fast, it will cause the UV varnish to not have enough time to receive ultraviolet radiation during the curing process, thereby affecting the curing effect. Reduce the speed of the conveyor belt appropriately to allow the varnish to fully solidify.

3. Optimize the curing environment
Keep the environment clean: The production environment and the surface of printed materials should be kept clean to avoid dust and other impurities from entering the varnish, which may affect the curing effect.

Control environmental temperature and humidity: During the curing process, the environmental temperature and humidity should be controlled within an appropriate range, usually maintained at 20-25 ℃ and 40% -60% humidity.

4. Other adjustments
Using fresh varnish: UV varnish stored for too long may affect the curing effect. Try to use fresh varnish and ensure that it is used within its expiration date.

Reduce the amount of diluent: Excessive diluent will prolong the curing time and reduce the curing effect. Strictly control the amount of diluent used to ensure that it does not have adverse effects on the curing process.

Add curing accelerator: If necessary, a certain amount of UV varnish curing accelerator can be added to accelerate the drying process.
