Mejoel tells you some things to pay attention to during the printing process of MQ401 UV varnish

In terms of printing equipment
UV curing equipment: Select UV curing equipment with appropriate power, wavelength, and irradiation area to ensure that the varnish can be completely cured and has good adhesion and wear resistance. The equipment needs to be stable and adjustable in irradiation intensity to meet different printing needs.
Rubber roller: Special UV printing rubber rollers are used, which need to have characteristics such as wear resistance, high temperature resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance to ensure the ink transfer effect.
Rubber blanket: Special UV printing rubber blanket is used, which has undergone special treatment and has characteristics such as wear resistance, high temperature resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance, ensuring clear and complete ink transfer.
Environmental control system: The curing effect and printing quality of UV ink are greatly affected by environmental temperature and humidity. Printing equipment should be equipped with an environmental control system to maintain stable temperature and humidity conditions.
In terms of printing environment
Temperature control: Ensure that the UV varnish is within the normal operating temperature range of 50-55 ℃. During low temperatures in winter, constant temperature water can be used to circulate and heat the varnish to its designed viscosity, promoting leveling and rapid solidification. When the UV light oil passes through the UV lamp irradiation area, the optimal temperature should be controlled at 50-60 ℃. Too high or too low can affect the curing speed and adhesion.
Avoid direct sunlight: The polishing machine should be placed away from direct sunlight, as ultraviolet light in the sunlight can accelerate the curing of the varnish, causing it to solidify on the coating roller and affecting the polishing effect. If it cannot be avoided, use red and black curtains or other coverings.
Regarding the use of light oil
Viscosity control: Select a specialized varnish according to the model of the polishing machine. If the viscosity does not meet the requirements, a diluent can be used to remove the viscosity or a thickener can be used to add the viscosity. However, this adjustment will result in a loss of the curing speed, brightness, and adhesion of the varnish.
Filtering and sedimentation: UV varnish scraped off during polishing may carry ink into the varnish, causing color mixing. However, after filtering and sedimentation, these polishes can still be reused to avoid waste.
Storage conditions: The varnish should be stored in a ventilated and dark environment at 20-35 ° C.
In terms of printing materials
Paper selection: Choose the appropriate paper according to the purpose and requirements of the printed material. For paper with strong oil absorption, you can choose UV varnish with poor permeability but high glossiness, or pre treat the paper before coating to reduce its absorption of varnish.
Ink treatment: Before applying UV varnish, the anti sticking materials such as silicone oil and powder on the surface of the ink should be thoroughly removed to ensure that the varnish can adhere evenly.
In terms of safety protection
Skin contact treatment: Although the irritation of UV varnish has been greatly reduced, if the skin comes into contact with varnish during the polishing operation, it should be immediately washed off with soapy water, otherwise skin redness, swelling, blistering, and other situations may occur.
Ventilation: The printing workshop should maintain good ventilation to reduce the concentration of UV light oil volatiles in the air and minimize potential hazards to the health of operators.
